Is my comment visible to all? Can I limit it to only selected users?
Comments in Sharein can be posted publicly or disclosed only to
specific groups. When you click on a shared item and comment on it,
by default your comment is captured and posted in the discussion
room where only the audience with the access rights to this room
can view your comment. The access rights are determined by the
sharer.
In Sharein, comments are being organized into rooms. Each room represents a discussion group in which the participants are being invited and selected by the sharer based on his/her social circles. For example, a sharer shares an article with his work friends and also shares the same article with his church members. These share are organized into 2 rooms, and comments from each specific group will only be viewed and further commented upon by members within that group. We believe that the segregation of the comments into separate rooms based on circle is valuable. Not everyone will be interested in the discussions and comments of others because of the different context of relationship with the sharer.
